Choosing a template for your first video

Getting started · 1 min read

What to look for in a template when you're not sure which structure fits your brief.

Templates encode a proven scene structure — they don't determine your product's message, only how it's paced and shot. If you're not sure which to pick for a first video, match the template to what you're trying to prove:

  • Explaining a workflow → a demonstration-style template with more scenes.
  • A short, high-energy hook for paid social → a shorter, faster-paced template.
  • A founder or team introduction → a testimonial-style template.

You can change templates on a topic without rewriting the script from scratch — the script stays tied to the topic, not the template.
